Chamaeleon, painted in watercolor on canvas. In my attempt to get away from framing I thought I would experiment. The piece was prepped with clear ground, imitating paper. What I learned is that ground was needed between each layer of paint. Once completed I sprayed the piece with a UV archival spray and then added three coats of wax to truly protect the surface from minor scratches, dust and day to day pollutants.
