In late February or maybe early March, I met with the Plein Aire group through The Santa Clara Watercolor Society. It was a beautiful late winter morning.

This is a favorite building for many in the area. And of course, I had to choose this challenging angle. Back in the studio I redrew the piece and then COVID-19 was knocking at the door. The studios were closed down and we were all sent home to shelter in place.

Several weeks later places started opening up and voila – I was able to complete it.

The San Carlos Court House I just learned has been accepted in CWA’s (California Watercolor Association) Falkirk show.
